The facelifted version of the Tata Safari is among the most-awaited SUVs this year. Now, interior images of a test mule have been spied. These spy shots reveal plenty of details regarding the upcoming Tata Safari facelift.

Analysing the spy shot, we can see that Tata Motors have made plenty of effort to make the interior of the Tata Safari facelift feel a lot more premium. In fact, the interior of this spied test mule looks nothing like any outgoing model from the automaker.

For starters, the facelifted version of the Tata Safari sports a layered dashboard, where the lower portion seems to be wrapped in leather. Furthermore, the test mule also features completely new HVAC controls.

This new HVAC control predominantly uses touch-sensitive buttons. Since touch-sensitive buttons can be difficult to operate on the move, Tata Motors have cleverly added two physical switches that are likely to control the fan speed and temperature.

Above the new AC vents, the test mule also features a new bigger touchscreen infotainment unit. We expect this unit to be similar to the one in the recently introduced Tata Safari Red Dark Edition or it could even be a slightly larger unit.

In addition to the new infotainment unit, the upcoming facelifted version of the Tata Safari SUV will feature a digital instrument cluster along with a new steering wheel and ADAS tech. This new steering wheel is similar to the one in the Tata Curvv concept and comes with touch-sensitive buttons.

Coming to the powertrain, the upcoming Tata Safari facelift could feature a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This engine could produce 168bhp and 280Nm of torque. This is the same 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine that was showcased by the automaker at the Auto Expo 2023.

That being said, the diesel engine is likely to be the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged unit. However, we expect the power and torque figures to jump by a slight margin. This engine in the outgoing version of the Safari SUV puts out 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque.

Thoughts About The Upcoming Tata Safari Facelift

The facelifted version of the Tata Safari SUV will help Tata Motors better compete against sophisticated rivals such as the MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700. We also expect the upcoming Tata Safari facelift to be a lot more luxurious than the outgoing model.
