Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, Ultraviolette recently trademarked the ' Ultraviolette X44' nameplate in India. We expect Ultraviolette to use this recently trademarked name on one of its upcoming electric motorcycles that are currently being developed.

That being said, the Ultraviolette F77 is currently the most expensive electric motorcycle you can buy in India. As such, we expect the upcoming Ultraviolette X44 to be a more affordable offering from the company.

Given the high demand for electric scooters in the Indian two-wheeler market, the upcoming Ultraviolette X44 could even be an electric scooter. This could help the company boost its sales figures and generate plenty of revenue.

However, the electric scooter market is quite competitive and cracking this segment requires a very well-rounded product. Also, Ultraviolette should also be prepared to ramp up the production of the model tastes success.

Speaking about the Ultraviolette F77, the electric motorcycle was launched at Rs 3.8 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the more premium F77 Recon model was introduced at at price of Rs 4.55 lakh (ex-showroom).

In terms of powertrain, the standard Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycle uses a PMS direct drive motor. This electric motor produces 38.8bhp and 95Nm of torque. Thanks to this setup, the Ultraviolette F77 motorcycle can attain a topspeed of 147km/h.

Coming to the battery pack, the Ultraviolette F77 motorcycle comes with two battery pack options - A 7.1kWh, and a bigger 10.3kWh battery pack. The model with the smaller battery pack delivers a range of 206km, whereas the model with the bigger battery pack offers 307km of range.

That being said, the Ultraviolette F77 motorcycle can add 35km of range in 1 hour using the standard charger. However, with the 'Boost' charger, the bike is capable of adding 75km of range at the same time.

In terms of hardware, the Ultraviolette F77 uses 41mm USD forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc grabbed by a 4-piston caliper and a 230mm rear disc grabbed by a single disc caliper.

Thoughts About The Ultraviolette X44

At present, there are no details about what the Ultraviolette X44 could be. It could either be a more affordable electric motorcycle from the automaker or it could even be an electric scooter.
