TVS Motor seems to be working on a new Apache range of motorcycles as the company has trademarked the 'TVS Apache RTX' name. We expect this new motorcycle to be either a naked or an ADV version of the TVS Apache RR 310 motorcycle.

This means the upcoming TVS Apache RTX is likely to benefit from the 313cc, single-cylinder engine along with other hardware bits from the outgoing TVS Apache RR 310 motorcycle. This is actually good considering that these mechanical bits have proven their worth.

Speaking about the powertrain, the 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that powers the TVS Apache RR310 motorcycle is tuned to produce 34bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. Also, this engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch as well.

If the upcoming TVS Apache RTX is a naked motorcycle, we expect the model to come with an aggressive price tag. This will make the TVS Apache 310 range a lot more affordable and likely to attract the interest of many young buyers as well.

However, there is a possibility that the upcoming TVS Apache RTX could be an ADV based on the TVS Apache RR 310, much like the BMW G 310 GS. This will also bring in a lot of interest as the ADV market in India is booming.

Furthermore, we expect the TVS Apache RR 310-based ADV motorcycle to do exceptionally well in the Indian market. Some of the noticeable competitors include BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan, Suzuki V-Storm SX 250, and KTM Adventure range.

That being said, we expect the upcoming TVS Apache RTX to be just the iteration of the BMW's 310 range of motorcycles with minor design changes. Also, we expect the motorcycle to be priced significantly less than the BMW counterpart.

Thoughts About The Upcoming TVS Apache RTX

Given the booming ADV market in India, we expect the upcoming TVS Apache RTX motorcycle to be a rebadged version of the BMW G 310 GS. Also, the more aggressive pricing from TVS is also likely to attract many potential buyers in the segment.
