Triumph Speed 400 Booking Amount Hiked, Introductory Offer Closed - All You Need To Know

Triumph has recently unveiled the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X motorcycles, which are developed in collaboration with the Indian motorcycle manufacturing giant, Bajaj. The Speed 400 made its debut in July, while the Scrambler 400 X is anticipated to be released in October this year.

The Speed 400 had a great reception in India, and it quickly gained popularity after its launch. The bike managed to amass a large number of bookings, causing an average waiting period of about three to four months.

Triumph has recently made an update to their booking process for the Speed 400. As per the latest reports, the booking amount for the Speed 400 has been increased to Rs 10,000, which was previously set at Rs 2,000.

The company's official website also announced that the introductory price of the Triumph Speed 400, which was set at Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), has now come to an end as the bike has crossed over 10,000 bookings.

Triumph seems quite sure about its latest product, as they've increased the booking amount, which is also fully refundable. The Triumph Speed 400 now costs Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The bike houses a 6-speed 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm of peak torque. It is equipped with USD front forks and a 10-step preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking performance comes from disc brakes at either end with dual-channel ABS.

The Triumph Speed 400 is manufactured and sold by Bajaj Auto. The bike is being built at Baja's new facility in Chakan and will be sold via old and new Triumph dealerships spread across the country.

Triumph has plans to expand its number of dealerships from the current 20 to 30 by the end of July. Looking further ahead, the company intends to establish up to 100 dealerships by March 2024.

Potential customers can book the motorcycle online through Triumph India's official website or from any of their dealerships nationwide. The deliveries of the Speed 400 are set to commence by the end of this month in select cities.
