The Indian two-wheeler market has witnessed outstanding growth post the pandemic. A good chunk of that is contributed by the growing demand for scooters in both tier 1 and tier 2 cities in the country.

In June 2023, most scooters witnessed strong sales growth. That being said, here is the list of the top 5 scooters sold in India for the month of June 2023.

Honda Activa (1,30,830 Units)

Honda Activa needs no introduction in India, this scooter has been dominating the scooter segment for more than a decade now. In June 2023, Honda managed to sell 1,30,830 units of Activa scooters in India. However, YoY sales figures dropped by 29 per cent.

TVS Jupiter (64,252 Units)

The TVS Jupiter is the closest competitor to the Honda Activa. The Hosur-based automaker even managed to sell a commendable 64,252 units of Jupiter scooters in India and registered an YoY sales growth of more than 2.2 per cent.

Suzuki Access (39,503 Units)

The Suzuki Access scooter continues to deliver consistent sales figures for the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer. Moreover, the company even managed to sell 39,503 units of Access scooters in June 2023 and registered an YoY sales increase of more than 15 per cent.

TVS Ntorq (28,077 Units)

In June 2023, TVS managed to sell 28,077 units of the Ntorq scooters in India, despite strong competition. Thanks to this strong sales performance, YoY sales figures for the TVS Ntorq scooter increased up to 6.1 per cent.

Ola S1 (17,579 Units)

The Ola S1 range is currently the best-selling electric scooter in India. In June 2023, Ola Electric managed to retail 17,579 units of the Ola S1 range of electric scooters in India. This has resulted in a 198 per cent YoY sales increase.

Thoughts About The Top 5 Scooters In June 2023

The sales figures for the Honda Activa scooters have dipped by more than 29 per cent. As a result, the overall scooter market has dipped by more than 2 per cent despite all other scooters showing positive growth. This shows the dominance of Honda Activa in the Indian scooter market.
