Now, Tata Motors has announced the auction winner of the Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition SUV as Mr Ameer Khan, from Pune. Apart from that, the keys of the auctioned Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition were handed over to the winner at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
As part of winning the bid, Mr Khan also received tickets to the Tata IPL league match in Mumbai, along with two more tickets to the IPL finals held in Ahmedabad.
To make the moment more special, Mr Khan also received a special Rhino plaque signed by all the team captains in the IPL 2022 season. Further, the winner also received an all-expense-paid trip to the Kaziranga National Park and additional accessories.
As per the commitment made, all the proceeds from that auction will be donated to directly benefit the conservation of Kaziranga National Park.
Speaking about the Kaziranga National Park, around 2/3rd of the 3,000 rhinos in the world are found in this National Park. However, these rhinos face grave danger from poachers, thus pushing these magnificent animals to the brink of extinction.
According to Tata Motors, the Kaziranga Edition of SUVs are "one-of-a-kind" models and are inspired by the country's rich geographical and biological diversity while also paying homage to India's great national parks.
The Tata Punch Kaziranga Edition gets a 'Meteor Bronze' exterior paint scheme and dual-tone roof in Piano Black finish. Moreover, the interior also comes with Earthy Beige leatherette upholstery and Tropical wood finish on the dashboard along with a few more Earthy Beige colour inserts across the interior. Moreover, the limited edition is based on the top-spec 'Creative' trim.
Speaking about Tata Punch SUV, the micro-SUV quickly became one of the best-selling vehicles in the Tata Motors lineup and stands just below the Tata Nexon SUV in terms of sales volume.
Apart from that, Tata Punch has also received a 5-star safety rating for adult protection by Global-NCAP with a score of 16.45 points out of 17. The micro-SUV also comes with safety features such as dual front airbags, first-in-segment 'Brake Sway Control', ABS, EBD, cornering stability control, ISOFIX child seats, and many more.
In terms of features, the Tata Punch comes loaded with many features such as a large 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, semi-digital instrument console, iRA connected car tech, automatic climate control, natural voice recognition function for voice commands, multi-function steering wheel, smart keyless entry, push-button start/stop, power-operated ORVMs with auto-folding, cruise control and many more.
The Tata Punch is powered by a 3-cylinder 1.2L petrol engine with 'Dynapro Technology'. This engine in the Tata Punch produces 84.48bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 113Nm of peak torque at 3,300 rpm and comes with a choice of either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.
