In a bid to capitalise on the sales push achieved during the festive season, Tata Motors has now launched two new variants of the Tata Altroz premium hatchback in India. - XM, and XM (S).

Out of the two newly launched variants of the Altroz hatchback, the XM(S) variant comes equipped with an electric sunroof. This variant is priced at just Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the cheapest car in India with sunroof.

On the other hand, the newly launched XM variant of the Tata Altroz hatchback is priced at Rs 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom). While this variant of the premium hatchback does not feature a sunroof, the model comes with all the features in the XM(S) variant, except for the sunroof.

Some of the noticeable features on the newly launched XM and XM(S) variants of the Tata Altroz hatchback include steering-mounted controls, a height-adjustable driver seat, electrically folding ORVM, and 16-inch tyres with full wheel covers.

That being said, the newly launched XM and XM(S) variants will be available exclusively with the 1.2-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol powertrain models equipped with manual transmission. Moreover, these new variants are positioned between base XE and mid-spec XM+ variants.

Along with the launch of these new variants, Tata Motors have now made features such as keyless entry and power windows standard across all variants of the Tata Altroz. Additionally, the XM+ and XT variants also get more features.

Looking into detail, the XM+ variant of the Tata Altroz now gets added features such as reverse parking camera, height adjustable driver seat, cruise control, and a new top-spec dashboard. Also, the XT variant now gets features such as height-adjustable driver seat, 16-inch Hyperstyle wheels, and rear defogger.

Thoughts About The Cheapest Car In India With Sunroof

With the launch of the Tata Altroz XM(S) variant, customers keen on the sunroof feature no longer need to spend more money on higher-spec variants. As such, we expect this new variant to attract quite a few customers to Tata dealerships ahead of the festive season in India.
