The retro styled Hunter 350 will be Royal Enfield's most accessible offering.

Royal Enfield is all set to introduce its most accessible motorcycle to the market, rumoured to be called Hunter 350. Codenamed J1C1, the motorcycle is based on the Royal Enfield's J-platform, which also underpins the Meteor 350 and Classic 350. The bike will use the same 349 cc single-cylinder engine as the pair, which makes 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm, and 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

The bike's retro looks are completed with round tail lamps and turn indicators.

Talking about the looks, the bike has a retro theme which is synonymous with the brand. The motorcycle gets many round elements, like the headlamp, mirrors, tail lamp, and even the turn indicators. The motorcycle could also have round shaped instrument cluster to complete the retro theme. However, to keep the costs in check the Bluetooth-enabled tripper navigation pod may only be available as an option as this will also help the company complete deliveries in time amid the global semiconductor chip shortage.

The Hunter 350 may not get the bluetooth-enabled tripper navigation pod as a standard fitment on the lower variant.

There's a one piece seat on the motorcycle sitting behind a teardrop shaped fuel tank, and doesn't have much height difference between the rider and the pillion seating areas giving it a sporty silhouette. The motorcycle can be looked as the sportier sibling of the J-platform bikes, and it is rumoured to be placed even lower than the upcoming Bullet 350, making it the brand's most accessible offering. The images leaked online showcase the bike with alloy wheels, however it is also rumoured that a lower variant may be in the making, and might sport spoked wheels and fewer colour options on offer to achieve an even lower starting price.

The motorcycle is expected to be launched towards the end of July, and the deliveries may begin as soon as August 2022. The Hunter 350 is expected to be priced around the ₹ 1.50 lakh mark, and will attract many buyers who are upgrading from 110-150 cc commuter motorcycles.
