With less than 24 hours remaining for the reduction of the FAME-II subsidy, electric vehicle manufacturers are taking action by revising the prices of their products. Ola is the recent one to hike the prices of its products.

As per reports, Ola has increased the prices of their S1 and S1 Pro models. However, there have been no changes in the pricing of the entry-level S1 Air variant.

The Ola fleet consisted of 3 models, S1 Air, S1, and S1 Pro, offered in different variants. Now, Ola has restructured their lineup by pulling plugs on the 2kWh variant of the S1 model.

This model is no longer available on their site, and the last known price of this model was Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including FAME-II). However, there is no official announcement regarding the axing.

The 3kWh variant of the S1 was earlier priced at Rs 1.15 lakh, and now the price for the same has been increased by Rs 15,000 to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru)

The Ola S1 is offered in either a 2kWh battery with a range of 91km or a 3kWh battery with a maximum range of 141km. An 8.5kW electric motor powers both variants and have a top speed rating of 90km per hour and 95km per hour, respectively.

On the other side, Ola Electric's flagship scooter, S1 Pro, will also see a hike of Rs 15,000, which will increase the price of the e-scooter to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

The top-of-the-line S1 Pro features a 4kWh battery pack that powers an 8.5kW electric motor. It has a maximum range of 181km and can reach a top speed of 116km per hour.

The S1 Air, the base model of Ola's e-scooter, comes in three different variants. With battery capacities of 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh, these variants offer ranges of 85km, 125km, and 165km, respectively.

All versions have a 4.5kW electric motor and a top speed of 85 km/h. The prices for each variant remain the same at Rs 84,999, Rs 99,999, and Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

Thoughts About Ola Hiking The Price Of S1 & S1 Pro

Ola's decision to revise the prices of their e-scooters is a huge blow to potential buyers. With the slashing of the FAME-II subsidy and evolving industry dynamics, it is understandable why the prices are increasing.
