Ola S1 Air Electric Scooter Launch Tomorrow – New Colour Option Teased

Ola Electric is all geared up for the launch its most affordable electric scooter, the Ola S1 Air. Now, ahead of its launch in India, the EV maker has revealed the new Neon colour option through its latest teaser.

It is also worth mentioning that the purchase window for the upcoming Ola S1 Air electric scooter will be opened today. Furthermore, the introductory pricing for the Ola S1 Air is set as Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

However, customers who make the payment after July 30 will not be eligible for the introductory price. Post this time frame, the price for the Ola S1 Air electric scooter will be set as Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Speaking about the upcoming Ola S1 Air, Ola Electric has made some changes to the Ola S1 Air compared to the outgoing Ola S1 range of electric scooters. The biggest change is the use of a new hub-mounted electric motor.

This new hub-mounted electric motor in the Ola S1 Air is said to produce 4.5kW. Furthermore, the base variant of the model is expected to feature a 2.5kWh battery pack as well.

In comparison, the electric motor in the Ola S1 electric scooter produces 5.5kW of power and this scooter packs in a bigger 2.98kWh battery pack as well. It is also worth mentioning that the top-spec Ola S1 Pro electric scooter comes with a 3.97kWh battery pack.

Thanks to this powertrain, the Ola S1 Air takes just 4.3 seconds to reach 40km/h. However, the topspeed of the model remains a respectable 90km/h. According to Ola Electric, this upcoming model takes around 4.5 hours to charge to its full capacity using the standard 500W portable charger.

That being said, one of the most visually distinctive features of the upcoming Ola S1 Air electric scooter will be its new conventional telescopic front suspension. Other changes in the upcoming model include twin rear shocks, a dual-tone exterior, steel wheels, and a tubular rear grab rail.
