Nissan Z range of cars have a huge fan following in the automotive community. In 2021, the Japanese automaker launched the 7th generation Nissan Z and dropped the numerical nomenclature found in the previous generations.
Now, the Japanese automaker has released a new teaser showcasing the Nismo version of the Nissan Z sports car. The 45-second teaser video showcases Formula Drift champion, Chris Forsberg drifting the upcoming Nissan Z Nismo sports car.
The teaser video also reveals many of the design details of the upcoming Nissan Z Nismo sports car as well. That being said, Nissan is yet to reveal any specifications regarding the Nissan Z Nismo sports car.
Some of the interesting details include the 'NISMO' treatment, which makes the whole package look a lot more aggressive. For this, Nissan has given the model more aggressive-looking front and rear bumpers, a new front splitter, a more pronounced rear diffuser and a duck-bill spoiler.
It is also worth mentioning that the iconic NISMO red stripe also makes a return with the upcoming new Nissan Z Nismo sports car. All of these visual changes lend the sports car a more pronounced stance.
The teaser video also shows glimpses of the interior of the upcoming Nissan Z Nismo sports car. Going as per the teaser video, the Z Nismo sports car will be equipped with sportier seats and come with plenty of red accents on the interior.
In terms of specifications, we expect a slight bump in power along with heavily reworked suspension to part of the Nismo package. Additionally, we expect some weight-saving measures as well as revised gearing for better acceleration.
Speaking about gearing, we expect the upcoming Nissan Z Nismo sports car to come with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. However, Nissan could also offer the 6-speed manual transmission as an option.
The outgoing version of the Nissan Z sports car is powered by a 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V6 petrol engine. This engine in the standard variant is tuned to produce 400bhp and 475Nm of peak torque.
Thoughts About The Upcoming Nissan Z Nismo
We expect the upcoming Nissan Z Nismo to have much better handling characteristics compared to the outgoing version of the sports car. Furthermore, we also expect a slight bump in power along with revised gear ratios to make the car feel a lot more energetic.
