Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki launched the MY23 iteration of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle in India. The updated motorcycle now comes with three new colour options - Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic MoondustGrey.

The updated Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle now features an updated powertrain that is compatible with the latest BS6 Phase 2 emission norms and comes with an OBD2 port as well.

That being said, the basics of the powertrain remains the same as the model continues to draw its power from the 296cc, parallel-twin, 8-valve, liquid-cooled engine. This engine according to Kawasaki puts out 38.5bhp and 26.1Nm of peak torque.

Also, the motorcycle comes sends all the power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed gearbox. To make things easier, the MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 300 features an assist & slipper clutch as well.

In terms of hardware, the MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle comes equipped with a pair of 37mm conventional telescopic suspension at the front and a linkage-equipped Uni-Trak mono-shock at the rear.

On the other hand, braking duties on the Kawasaki Ninja 300 are taken care of by a 290mm petal disc brake grabbed by a 2-piston caliper at the front, and a 220mm petal disc grabbed by a single-piston caliper at the rear.

That being said, the Kasawaki Ninja 300 directly competes against the KTM RC 390 in India. Though the latter is cheaper and comes with better equipment, the Kawasaki holds to its ground firmly with its smooth twin-cylinder engine and its ability to transform into a decent touring bike.

Speaking about touring, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 continues to be a very good choice for those looking for a twin-cylinder sports motorcycle that is equally good on the highways and the twisty roads.

Thoughts About The MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 300

Apart from the updated powertrain and new colour options, the MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 300 remains almost identical to the model it replaces. This is not a bad thing considering the bike's core strength is still intact - Its ability to carve corners and munch miles at the same time.
