British EV manufacturer McMurtry Automotive has revealed the Speirling Pure. The McMurtry Speirling Pure is the track-only production version of the blisteringly quick electric car that shattered the Goodwood hillclimb record last year.

A validation prototype of the McMurtry Speirling Pure Unlimited will be showcased at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, with pre-production units set to follow in 2024.

The final production run will start in 2025. The McMurtry Speirling Pure will be limited to just 100 units, with each car costing £820,000 (Rs 8.55 crore) pre-tax.

McMurtry claims that the Speirling Pure capabilities, with its patented downforce on-demand fan system, will exceed that of the machine that took the Goodwood Hillclimb record last year.

The firm claims that the electric fan car for the track will be capable of pulling 3G through the corners. The new Speirling Pure is focused on multi-lap runs on full-race circuits with fast charge turnaround.

The McMurtry draws power from a 60kWh battery pack that can fully charge up in just 20 minutes. This battery pack also offers better cooling than last year's prototype.

Like last year's prototype, the Speirling Pure has a tiny footprint. The electric hypercar is 3.45 metres long, 1.58 metres wide and 1.02 metres tall. However, despite the tiny size, the Spierling Pure's cabin can accommodate drivers up to 6ft 7" (2.0m) and 150kg, thanks to the adjustable steering wheel and pedals.

The Pure's monocoque is constructed using carbon fibre designed to meet motorsports standards. Indeed the Pure is eligible for GT1 Sports Club, an exclusive hypercar driving programme held in the heart of the Fanatec GT World Challenge.

The McMurtry Speirling Pure will be more than able to keep up with the other hypercars on the track. This is thanks to the fact that it weighs around 1,000 kilogrammes and sends 1,000bhp to the rear wheels through its twin-motor setup.

In last year's record run up Goodwood's hill climb, an official 0-100km/h time was not given, though the number being whispered around the paddock was under the 2.0-second mark.

This number should be easily possible due to the fact the tiny hypercar comes hod with slick tyres - 27/65-18 (Front), 30/68-18 (Rear). The official top speed for the new Spierling Pure is stated as 306km/h.

Thoughts About The McMurtry Speirling Pure

The McMurtry Speirling Pure aims to be the only weapon an eco-conscious, big-pocketed individual will need to demolish the dino fuel-drinking monsters currently rumbling across racetracks around the world.
