Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara New Teaser Out - Sunroof Teased

According to the latest teaser, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV will feature a large panoramic sunroof.

The series of new teasers confirms that the Indo-Japanese automaker is looking forward to unveiling the upcoming Grand Vitara SUV soon in the Indian market. According to sources, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to unveil the Grand Vitara on July 20.

In addition to that, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV will be sold exclusively through the automaker's NEXA dealerships across the country. Moreover, the bookings for the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV is already open and interested customers can book the SUV.

While the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV is yet to be launched in the country, many details of the Grand Vitara SUV are already very well known as Toyota's iteration of the SUV has been already revealed in India.

Speaking of which, this SUV has been co-developed by both Maruti Suzuki and Toyota. Out of both these SUVs, Toyota's iteration of the SUV is called Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. It is also worth mentioning that this new SUV will be manufactured by Toyota at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bidadi, Karnataka.

Together both these SUVs will rival the likes of other C-segment SUVs in the segment such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and a few more.

Speaking of the powertrain, both Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will come with the same engine options as both SUVs have been co-developed by Toyota and Maruti Suzuki as mentioned above. Moreover, engine options include one mild-hybrid and one strong-hybrid unit.

The mild-hybrid powertrain is a 1.5-litre unit with 101.6bhp of peak power and this engine can be specified with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Moreover, this powertrain also comes with an optional all-wheel-drive layout.

On the other hand, the strong hybrid powertrain is a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated Atkinson cycle petrol engine. This unit produces a total of 114.5bhp of peak power and uses an eCVT gearbox.

In terms of features, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV will come packed with a lot of features such as a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 360-degree surround-view camera, cooled glove box, rear AC vents, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, heads-up display, an electric sunroof, and many more.

Despite the long list of features, Maruti Suzuki will not skip any safety features and it will be equipped with safety systems such as 6 airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ABS with EBD, hill descent control, and a few more.
