Maruti Suzuki Brezza Feature List Updated – Important Safety Feature Removed

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is among the best-selling sub-4m SUVs in India. In June 2023, the Indo-Japanese automaker even managed to sell more than 10,000 units of the SUV in the country.

To maintain consistency in sales, Maruti Suzuki has been releasing times updates as well. Now, ahead of the festive season in India, the Indio-Japanese automaker has yet again updated the Brezza SUV.

However, the latest update to the Maruti Suzuki Brezza SUV not only includes the addition of a few new features, but the automaker has removed some features as well. Features are likely to have been removed to keep the prices competitive.

According to the latest brochure, the CNG variants of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza SUV no longer come equipped with safety features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and hill hold assist. However, all seats now get seatbelt reminders as standard.

However, the biggest change is the removal of the mild-hybrid system from the manual transmission variants. As a result, this fuel-saving feature is now exclusive to the variants equipped with the automatic transmission.

That being said, the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine in the updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza SUV continues to produce 99.2bhp and 136Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the CNG variant puts out 86.63bhp and 121.5Nm peak torque.

In terms of gearbox options, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza continues to be offered with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. However, CNG variants come with the 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Thoughts About The Updated Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Maruti Suzuki should not have removed the electronic stability program (ESP) and hill-hold assist features from the CNG variant of the Brezza SUV. These are very important safety features and can make a sizeable difference when a situation arises.
