The Invicto gets a different interior colour theme as compared to the Innova Hycross.

The Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be launching on July 5 in India, and ahead of that, we have got the first look at what its interior will look like. The MPV is a rebadged Toyota Innova Hycross and will be the most expensive model in the company’s line-up.

  2. Invicto to be hybrid only
  3. Likely to miss out on ADAS features

Maruti Suzuki Invicto interior

In a series of leaked images, we see the upcoming Invicto at a dealership already. While the car it is based on, the Toyota Innova Hycross, gets dual-tone interiors with silver accents throughout the cabin, the Invicto gets a black theme with beige-coloured accents. The Invicto also gets a sunroof, which is offered on Innova Hycross models as well. Since the vehicle is essentially the same as the Toyota model, the interior will not get any major changes aside from mild cosmetic ones.

The exterior details of the Invicto have been spied previously, and you can read about it here

Maruti Suzuki Invicto engine, powertrain

Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the hybrid variant of the Invicto, which comes equipped with a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine coupled with an electric motor. While the Innova Hycross gets two powertrain options, our sources have confirmed that Maruti will only offer the petrol-hybrid powertrain with the Invicto. The powertrain will come equipped with an automatic e-CVT gearbox, making it the first Maruti Suzuki model to be offered without a manual gearbox.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto features

While the Innova Hycross offers customers a wide variety of features, we expect Maruti Suzuki to omit a few of them in order to make the MPV more appealing to its customers. We've learnt that the Invicto is either likely to not be offered with Toyota’s ADAS suite, or could miss out on certain ADAS features. Maruti Suzuki could drop a few premium features from this MPV, such as the JBL sound system and even the powered tailgate.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto price, booking

While Toyota and Maruti Suzuki have shared models in the past, the Invicto will be one of the most expensive vehicles in the Maruti Suzuki line-up. In a recent media interaction, Shashank Srivastava, executive director at Maruti Suzuki, said that the Invicto would be priced north of Rs 20 lakh. The equivalent strong-hybrid variants of the Innova Hycross are priced between Rs 25.03 lakh-29.99 lakh, and we could expect the Invicto to be in a similar price bracket too.

Bookings for the Invicto have opened for a token amount of Rs 25,000, and the launch is scheduled for July 5.
