Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be launched on July 5. Ahead of the MPV's launch, we can confirm our sources that Maruti will be offering the Invicto with a single strong-hybrid engine option. Nexa dealerships are currently accepting bookings for the strong-hybrid variant of the Invicto MPV.

The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is a rebadged engineered version of the Toyota Innova HyCross sold exclusively at the brand's premium Nexa dealerships. However, The Invicto will miss out on the non-hybrid petrol engine option that is offered on the HyCross.

The upcoming MPV will also be available in a single automatic transmission option making it the first Maruti Suzuki Vehicle sold as automatic only. The Invicto, when launched will be the brand's flagship model with an expected starting price of over Rs 24 lakh, ex-showroom.

The current brand's flagship model, the Grand Vitara is also available with the strong-hybrid engine option. The top-spec variant of the mid-size SUV is priced at Rs 19.79 lakh, ex-showroom. The Invicto is expected to be around Rs 4 lakh more expensive than the Grand Vitara, making it the most premium car sold by the brand in India.

The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is open for pre-launch bookings on the Nexa website or at dealerships for a token amount of Rs 11,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively. For now, the website only allows potential buyers to choose the vehicle without choosing a particular variant or colour.

The Invicto will be powered by the same strong hybrid powertrain from the HyCross. The MPV uses a 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine producing 172bhp and 188Nm of peak torque. The engine is aided by an electric motor producing 111bhp and 206Nm of peak torque. The combined power output from the strong-hybrid powertrain is rated at 186bhp.

The design of the Invicto could see a change in the front grille compared to the Innova HyCross. The remaining panels including the rear of the MPV are expected to feature the same design as the Toyota's MPV. Exterior features will include LED lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, and cornering lamps; among others.

The interior design and features list of the Invicto is expected to remain packed the same as the HyCross. This will include leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, displays for the infotainment and the instrument cluster, ventilated seats and more.

The safety net on the Invicto will include the Level 2 Advanced Driver-Assisted System. This includes radar-guided cruise control, high-beam assist, blind-spot monitoring system, pre-collision warning, rear-cross traffic alert and more. The Invicto will be the first car to feature the Level 2 ADAS from the brand when launched in India next month.

The Invicto will also be offered a suite of connected systems to control the MPV remotely via a mobile app. Users can remotely find the car, check vehicle health, operate AC controls, lock or unlock and even start the car via the mobile app.

Thoughts About The Maruti Suzuki Invicto Limited To Strong-Hybrid Engine Option

Maruti Suzuki takes a bold step to offer the Invicto with a strong-hybrid engine option. This move will have a hefty starting price tag for the MPV, which could make their customers think of the purchase decision. However, for the price, the MPV will be feature-packed with the latest toys and offer luxury targeting a new set of customers entering the brand.
