Earlier, Mahindra had issued a similar recall of the all-wheel-drive variant of the Mahindra XUV700 SUV. At that time, the issue was related to the propeller shaft of the SUV. However, as per reports, only the AX 7 Diesel AT AWD 7 STR and AX 7 Diesel AT AWD Luxury Pack 7 STR variants of the SUVs were recalled.

Moreover, that issue had been classified as critical service action by Mahindra. Moreover, the customers were asked to take their XUV700 to the nearest service centre where the service team will carry out all the necessary diagnostics on the bolts holding the drive shaft.
