Along with the new name, the XUV3XO also gets a major design overhaul and more features.
The upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift has been renamed as the XUV3XO, and Mahindra has confirmed that the heavily refreshed compact SUV will debut globally on April 29, 2024.
- XUV3XO will get multiple powertrain options
- XUV3XO EV will join the line-up later
Mahindra aims to increase its presence in the compact SUV segment as two of the XUV300's competitors, the Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet, were recently refreshed.
Mahindra XUV3XO to get BE SUV inspired looks
The XUV300's front and rear gets a major design refresh that's heavily inspired by Mahindra’s BE line-up of SUVs. The updates include a more angular nose, a new drop-down look for the LED daytime running lamps, and a revised front bumper and headlamp assembly. It also gets a new two-part grille with a larger central air intake on the bumper.
The XUV3XO's rear gets a completely redesigned tailgate with a full-width LED light bar; a smoother tailgate; sleeker and C-shaped tail-lamps; and the registration plate is now housed on the bumper instead of on the tailgate. It also gets a new set of alloy wheels finished in dark chrome.
Mahindra XUV3XO: powertrain highlights
The current crop of engines – a 1.5-litre diesel, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.2-litre direct injection turbo-petrol (TGDi) – will continue as is. However, the 1.2-litre TGDi petrol will get an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic gearbox. The XUV3XO line-up, as we've reported earlier, will also get an EV powertrain later this year.
