As the world came together to celebrate World Environment Day, Kerala police took the celebrations to the next level. As a commitment to environmental conservation, the Kochi City police launched custom-built Revolt RV400 electric motorcycles on Monday.

The motorcycles were unveiled and flagged off by K. Sethu Raman, District Police Chief Ernakulam. He explained that the electric bikes were being launched on World Environment Day as part of the green initiatives of the force.

He also added that the existing fleet of motorcycles used by the police in Kochi was becoming outdated, so adding new vehicles to their fleet was necessary, especially considering the importance of motorcycles for policing in a large city like Kochi.

According to the reports, the aim is to add 50 electric motorcycles to the current existing fleet. A proposal for 30 more such motorcycles has been given the green light with the help of Cochin Smart Mission Limited. These bikes will be mainly used for patrolling purposes.

The Revolt electric motorcycles stand out with their cutting-edge technology, durable battery systems, and emission-free performance, making them an excellent option for sustainable transportation solutions. With advanced technology integrated into their design, they offer a seamless riding experience while prioritizing environmental conservation.

The Revolt RV400 houses a 3kWh battery pack, powering an electric motor that produces around 6.7bhp of power and 54Nm of torque. The bike has three riding modes: Eco, Sport, and Power. Revolt claims a range of 150km on a single charge, which can be charged in 4.5 hours.

The electric motorcycle has several features, including an LED headlamp, a digital instrument console, keyless ignition, and a replaceable battery pack. Additionally, the RV400 has a sound system that produces motorcycle sounds through a speaker positioned near the foot pegs.

Thoughts About Kerala Police Launching Revolt Electric Motorcycles For Patrolling

The Police Department's choice to bring electric motorcycles shows their commitment to adopting eco-friendly law enforcement methods. By acknowledging the importance of reducing air pollution, they aim to prioritize the state's well-being. This is a true example of how law enforcement agencies can contribute to a sustainable future.
