The Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer Keeway is geared up to commence the deliveries of the Keeway SR250 motorcycle on June 17 in India. Furthermore, 5 lucky customers are likely to get 100 per cent cashback on the ex-showroom amount.

The company has also made a move to start the assembly of its SR125 and SR250 motorcycles in India ahead of the year-end. This will ensure better control over the prices and also ensure jobs for the localites.

Along with that, the company is also looking forward to introducing 'My SR My Way' customisation platform in India. This will allow the Keeway SR 125 and SR 250 customers to customise their motorcycles.

To further improve convenience for its customers, Keeway is also planning to introduce Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) by September. This package will include discounts on labour charge, engine oil, spares and accessories.

Speaking about Keeway, its motorcycles are sold through the Benelli outlets in India. This means the Benelli SR250 motorcycles can be purchased through any of the 55 Benelli dealerships in India.

When launched, the Keeway SR250 neo-retro motorcycle was priced at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). However, this is just an introductory price and Keeway could revise the price tag of the motorcycles at later stages.

Apart from that, the Keeway SR250 motorcycle rivals the likes of other motorcycles in the segment such as the TVS Ronin, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Kawasaki W175.

In terms of design, the Keeway SR250 motorcycle sports noticeable circular-themed design elements such as headlamp, turn indicators, instrument cluster with chrome surrounds, tail lamps, unhinged chrome fuel filler cap, and cylindrical brake fluid reservoir.

Other noticeable elements on the Keeway SR250 motorcycle include a set of knobbed tyres, spoked wheels, black fork boots, ribbed seats and a few more. Overall, the designers at Keeway have done a decent job with the Keeway SR250 motorcycle.

In terms of features, the Keeway SR250 neo-retro motorcycle comes with all the necessary features such as dual-channel ABS, a coloured digital instrument cluster, side stand engine cut-off, LED DRLs, a hazard switch, an adjustable rear suspension, telescopic front suspension, a 300mm front disc brake, a 210mm rear disc brake, and few more.

Coming to the powertrain, the Keeway SR250 motorcycle is powered by a 223cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine. This power unit produces 16bhp at 7,500rpm and 16Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Though the power figures seem a bit underpowered, the Keeway SR250 is a very lightweight motorcycle tipping scales at just 120kg (Dry).

Thoughts About The Keeway SR250 Motorcycle

Overall, the Keeway SR250 motorcycle will appeal to those who like retro motorcycles and the Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer has done a decent job of designing the motorcycle with all the right design elements. Also, the aggressive price tag and local assembly will push more people to shortlist the Keeway SR250.
