Honoring Our Heroes: Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles Completes Another Successful Edition of Kargil Vijay Diwas Ride

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, in partnership with the Indian Armed Forces, is proud to announce the successful completion of another edition of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Ride.

The expedition honoured the courage and sacrifices of our armed forces during the Kargil War 24 years ago. It also paid homage to the resolute spirit of our bravehearts who gave their lives while defending the nation.

This year, the Naga regiment of the Indian Army undertook the Kargil Vijay Diwas Ride. The theme of the expedition was 'First Breath to Last’. It connected the birthplace of Naga soldiers to where they took their last breath in 1999 war.

On 2nd July 2023, a convoy of 24 riders consisting veterans, officers, and soldiers from Indian Armed Forces was flagged off from Kohima for this incredible journey. They carried sacred soil as a symbolic representation and tribute to fallen heroes.

The riders travelled over 3,620 kilometres crossing challenging terrains, military establishments, and war memorials. The ride culminated at Kargil War Memorial in Dras where they handed over sacred soil to GOC 8 Division Maj Gen Sachin Malik.

A ceremony was held at Kargil War Memorial to honor the fallen heroes. The riders paid their respects and laid wreaths symbolizing gratitude and reverence for comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice.

During the expedition, the riders traveled across various key cities, experiencing their rich history and cultural heritage. In Guwahati and Chandigarh, they were honored at Jawa Yezdi dealerships.Classic Legends' CEO, Mr. Ashish Singh Joshi, expressed immense pride as the company celebrates its ongoing partnership with the Indian Armed Forces on the momentous occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

He said that Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles firmly believes in upholding a deep respect for the selfless sacrifice made by their men and women in uniform. He also said that they ensure the safety, security, and strength of their great nation.

Mr. Joshi also added that over the years, they have consistently extended their support to numerous causes in close coordination with the armed forces. He said that they have successfully fostered crucial awareness among the masses and that this year, their partnership holds special significance as they honour the valiant efforts and supreme sacrifice of the Naga Regiment during the Kargil conflict in 1999.

Mr. Joshi expressed his enthusiasm by saying that they are privileged to facilitate a remarkable contingent of the Naga Regiment, equipping them with Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles for a ride to the Kargil War Memorial in Dras. This is an honour they deeply cherish and their enduring alliance with the Indian Armed Forces further solidifies their commitment to this noble cause.
