Honda is all geared up for the launch of the Elevate SUV in India. Now, ahead of the launch of the model, the Japanese automaker has revealed the fuel efficiency figures.

According to Honda Car India, the manual variant of the Honda Elevate SUV returns a fuel efficiency of 15.31km/l. In comparison, the CVT variant of the Honda Elevate SUV is a bit more fuel efficient at 16.92km/l.

Speaking about the Honda Elevate SUV, the Japanese automaker has high hopes for the model and the company has already commenced bookings for the model. Furthermore, the booking amount for the Honda Elevate SUV has been capped at Rs 25,000.

Powering the Honda Elevate SUV is a 1.5-litre, DOHC, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This is the same engine that powers the 5th-gen Honda City. However, this engine in the Elevate SUV is tuned to produce 119.4bhp at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,300rpm.

As mentioned earlier, the 1.5-litre engine in the Honda Elevate SUV will come with a choice of two transmission options. This option includes a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox.

Some of the notable features of the upcoming Honda Elevate SUV include a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless smartphone integration, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, lane-watch camera, rear-view camera, connected-car tech, and ADAS tech.

In terms of dimensions, the upcoming Elevate SUV measures 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide, 1,650mm tall, and sports a wheelbase of 2,650mm. This means the Honda Elevate SUV is 12mm longer, 15mm taller, and sports a 40mm longer wheelbase than the Hyundai Creta SUV.

However, despite the upcoming Honda SUV's larger exterior dimensions, the turning radius of the model is relatively small at just 5.2 metres. Additionally, Honda also revealed that the upcoming Elevate SUV will come with a 458-litre boot.

When launched, the Honda Elevate SUV will compete against the likes of other C-segment SUVs such as Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and more. It is also worth mentioning that the C-segment SUV category is among the most competitive car segments in the country.

For a car maker, the success of a model in the C-segment SUV category will ensure a significant boost in overall sales figures. As of now, the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara are enjoying the most success in this segment.

Thoughts About The Upcoming Honda Elevate SUV

Looking at the Honda Elevate SUV, Honda seems to have studied its competitors well and the upcoming SUV sure looks to be a very strong contender in the highly competitive C-Segment SUV category.
