Honda Dio 125 Launched At Rs 83,400 - The Smart NTorq Rival

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched the Dio 125 scooter in India. Prices for the all-new Honda Dio 125 start at Rs 83,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The brand-new Honda Dio 125 is offered in two trim levels - Standard and Smart. The Honda Dio 125 Standard is priced at Rs 83,400, while the Dio 125 Smart commands a price tag of Rs 91,300 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

Powering the Honda Dio 125 is the same 124cc, OBD2-compliant engine that propels the Activa 125 and Grazia scooters from the Japanese firm. In the Dio 125, the engine produces 8.16bhp at 6,250rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm.

The engine is paired with a CVT gearbox and also comes with a start/stop system for better mileage, along with a silent start system.

The Dio 125 sports an underbone frame with telescopic front suspension and a monoshock at the rear. The new Honda Dio 125 offers 171mm of ground clearance. The new Dio 125 features a staggered wheel setup with a 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear. The alloy wheels come shod with 90/90-12 (front) and 90/100-10 (rear) tyres.

Braking duties on the all-new Honda Dio 125 are handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. The Dio 125's stopping power is aided by Honda's Combi-brake system.

Design-wise, the new Dio 125 looks quite similar to its smaller 110cc sibling but adds new graphics and a digital instrument cluster, plus new Dio 125 logos. The Dio 125 sports a dual-function switch that can open the 18-litre boot and the external fuel filler cap. The new Dio 125 also features a dual-outlet exhaust.

The Smart variant of the all-new Honda Dio 125 gets the firm's H-Smart system. Using the smart key fob, owners can use features like smart find, keyless start, and security functions like the ability to remotely lock the handlebar.

The Honda Dio 125 is offered in seven colourways: Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Grey, Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Sports Red.

Honda offers the all-new Dio 125 with up to 10 years of warranty - a 3-year standard warranty and an optional 7-year extended warranty package.
