Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero Super Splendor Black and Accent Edition motorcycles in India. Prices for the newly launched models start from Rs 77,430 for the base variant equipped with drum brakes and goes up to Rs 81,330 for the top-end variant with disc brake at the front.
We expect the new launch is part of Hero MotoCorp's strategy to attract more customers and make the model a lot more interesting in the segment.
As we already know that Hero MotoCorp is the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world - A feat that cannot be achieved accidentally by randomly launching and selling motorcycles in the country.
This means Hero MotoCorp is not only very successful but also very strategic in its approach. So, it is clear that whenever Hero MotoCorp launches a new motorcycle, the company must have done its market study. On top of all that, Hero MotoCorp has gained the trust of millions of Indians by producing quality motorcycles with great fuel efficiency and reliability as well.
Now coming back to the newly launched special edition of the Super Splendor range of motorcycles, the Black and Accent Editions feature an all-black theme. However, there are a few chrome elements to make the motorcycle stand out and look a lot more premium.
It is also worth mentioning that the designers at Hero MotoCorp have done a decent job in balancing the chrome elements and the overall dark theme of the special edition Hero Super Splendor motorcycles. Overall, the motorcycle does achieve its intended looks by standing out from the rest of the Super Splendor colour options.
Like with all special editions, the changes on the Hero Super Splendor Black and Accent Editions feature no mechanical or design changes and the only change in the special edition motorcycles are the updated colour scheme and chrome elements.
This means the Black and Accent Editions of the Hero Super Splendor continues to sport the single-pod halogen headlight, single-piece seat, and a tinted visor.
Mechanically, the Hero Super Splendor Black and Accent Editions continues to use the tried-and-tested 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, BS-6 compliant engine. This engine produces 10.7bhp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.
Other hardware components include telescopic front forks, five-step adjustable rear springs, 130mm drum brakes, and alloy wheels. However, the disc brake variant of the Black and Accent Editions of the Hero Super Splendor sports a 240mm disc brake at the front. Also, the motorcycle sports a combined braking system for added safety.
Thoughts About Hero Super Splendor Black And Accent Editions
Hero MotoCorp knows its customers very well and though the newly added special editions of the Super Splendor motorcycle may seem unnecessary, it is likely to attract more Hero MotoCorp customers to the showroom.
