Hero MotoCorp is one of India's leading two-wheeler manufacturers and a prominent player in the global motorcycle market. Formerly known as Hero-Honda, the company underwent a rebranding in 2011 after parting ways with Honda, but it continued to thrive independently, building on its legacy and expertise in the two-wheeler industry.

What sets Hero apart is its ability to understand the needs of the average Indian consumer and deliver reliable, fuel-efficient, and cost-effective two-wheelers that are affordable for everyone. Hero's Passion Pro is one such bike that is known for its reliability and affordability.

Recently, Hero MotoCorp has taken the Passion Pro off its official website, indicating the discontinuation of the bike. However, potential buyers can still buy the Passion Plus and Passion Xtec models that are available.

Hero offered Passion Pro in two different variants - drum and disc. The last known asking price was around Rs. 85,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards. The motorcycle had a 113.2cc, single-cylinder engine that produced 9.02bhp of power and 9.89Nm of torque.

On the contrary, the Passion Xtec shares the same engine and hardware as the Passion Pro but comes with a few additional features. It boasts an LED headlight and a fully digital console.

With Bluetooth connectivity, you can receive calls and SMS alerts on the go. For added convenience, there's a USB charging port and a side-stand cut-off sensor for enhanced safety. The starting price of the model is around Rs. 80,038 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

However, if you are looking for a more affordable setup, then there is Passion Plus. It gets a smaller 97.2cc engine that produces 7.91bhp of power and 8.05Nm of peak torque.

Moreover, the Passion Plus comes with a semi-digital cluster, a USB charging port, a side-stand cut-off function, and Hero's standard i3S technology. Passion Plus has a starting price of Rs 76,301 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Thoughts On Hero MotoCorp Discontinuing the Passion Pro

It's not uncommon for companies to discontinue certain models to keep their product range fresh and competitive in the market. They often make such decisions based on market trends, customer preferences, and business strategies.

For customers who are fans of the Passion Pro, this news might be disappointing, especially if they were looking to purchase the bike in the future. However, Hero MotoCorp still offers other models like the Passion Plus and Passion Xtec, which provide similar features and capabilities.
