India gets good news! Harley Davidson X440 bookings are starting to be accepted by certain Hero MotoCorp dealerships and deliveries will begin soon. The X440 comes with an attractive price of Rs. 2.29 Lakh (Ex-Showroom).

Harley allowed a few outlets to accept bookings of the X440. Some are Tusker Harley-Davidson, Bimal Motors, Sai Bikes, Sai Motors, Bhagath Motor, Prakash Motors, and RT Krishna Autos in Bangalore. In Pune, Two Rivers Harley-Davidson, Lakshya Wheels, Pratibha Motors, Mokha Autoriders, Kundan Automobile, and Sehgal Autoriders Pvt Ltd have been given permission.

In Delhi, the Capital Harley Davidson Showroom recently shared a photo of a customer taking delivery of his first Harley Davidson X440. After looking at the photo, we can come to the conclusion that the X440 has taken styling cues from some of the bigger Harley bikes.

The Harley Davidson X440 can be availed in three variants: Denim, Vivid, and S. Denim is the base variant and prices start from Rs. 2.29 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) while 'S' is the top-trim and comes priced at Rs. 2.69 Lakh (Ex-Showroom), still very affordable for a Harley make.

Harley Davidson was known to manufacture big, tough, and bulky cruisers with massive V-Twin engines, until the X500 and X350 was launched in China with the company working alongside QJ to produce it. After that, the X440 was launched here in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp.

The Harley Davidson X440 targets one of the most recognised companies and makes in India. Priced only a little more expensive, the X440 goes after the Royal Enfield Classic 350. With the extra investment, a bigger engine, better performance, and more features can be availed.

The X440 is powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil and air cooled engine that produces 27bhp and 38Nm of peak torque. For features, the X440 gets a round headlight, single-pod instrument cluster, a flat handlebar, retro styled indicators, and others.

Now that Harley Davidson has started allowing Hero showrooms to accept bookings, their sales have a chance of going through the roof as multiple outlets can now take requests for the X440.

The X440 has been priced competitively to take on other bikes in the market. But, with the launch of certain other motorcycles in the same class, we can only wait and see what the Indian 2-wheeler market would choose to opt for.
