First Batch Of Triumph Speed 400 Motorcycles Dispatched – Deliveries To Commence Soon

Triumph recently launched the Speed 400 motorcycle in India. Now, the iconic British two-wheeler manufacturer has started to dispatch the newly launched Triumph Speed 400 motorcycles to dealerships across the country.

Following the dispatch, we expect Triumph to soon commence the deliveries of the Speed 400 motorcycles in India. According to sources, deliveries of the Triumph Speed 400 motorcycles are expected to start by the end of this month.

Speaking about the Triumph Speed 400, the neo-retro motorcycle is the first model to be developed and built under the newly formed Bajaj-Triumph partnership. It is also worth mentioning that the new Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle will be manufactured by Bajaj Auto.

Powering the Triumph Speed 400 is a 398.15cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC engine. This engine in the Speed 400 motorcycle is tuned to produce 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

All this power and torque from the engine is sent to the rear wheels of the Speed 400 motorcycle via a 6-speed gearbox. On top of this, the model also sports a very useful Slip & Assist clutch.

In terms of hardware, the new Triumph Speed 400 comes equipped with a tubular steel perimeter frame with a bolt-on rear subframe and a twin-sided cast aluminium swingarm. The suspension duty is taken care of by 43mm USD forks at the front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear.

Braking duty on the Speed 400 motorcycle is taken care of by disc brakes at both ends. These disc brakes measure 300mm at the front and 230mm at the rear. The motorcycle also features dual-channel ABS assistance for more effective braking performance.

That being said, prices for the Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle now start at 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, the company is offering a wide range of accessories for the newly launched Speed 400 motorcycle.
