Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario Special Edition Unveiled - Celebrating An Icon

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has revealed the limited-run Monster 30° Anniversario. The Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario celebrates 30 years of the Monster lineup.

The special edition celebratory Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario is limited to 500 units worldwide. The unveiling of the Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario is the first of six reveals that the Italian firm will be doing till the 7th of November.

Ducati claims that the Monster 30° Anniversario is the lightest motorcycle (184kg) to bear the Monster name since it was first used in 1993. The Monster name was first used on the M900 Monster which was powered by a 904cc V-twin engine.

The new Monster 30° Anniversario, on the other hand, is powered by the 937cc 8-valve, Testastretta 90-degree V-twin that pushes out 109.5bhp at 9,250rpm and 93Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.

The fuel-injected engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with straight-cut gears and a quickshifter for both up and downshifts. Helping the V-twin sing its tunes is a road-legal Termignoni slip-on exhaust system.

The Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario sports an aluminium-alloy front frame suspended on a fully adjustable Ohlins NIX 30, 43mm USD front fork and a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear with progressive linkage and a double-sided aluminium swingarm.

Braking duties on the Monster 30° Anniversario are handled by dual 320mm floating aluminium discs at the front that are clamped down by radially mounted Brembo Stylema monobloc 4-piston callipers. The rear wheel is stopped by a 245mm rear disc with Brembo 2-piston floating callipers.

The rims are 17-inch forged aluminium alloy units that are painted golden. The lightweight alloys come wrapped with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres - 120/70 (front) and 180/55 (rear).

All these suspension, brakes and wheels components have helped the Monster 30° Anniversario shed the kilos. Aiding in the weight-shedding quest, the limited-run Monster sports carbon-fibre mudguards and a lithium-ion battery pack.

Where the limited-run bike separates itself from other Monsters is its Tricolour 30th Anniversary livery which the firm claims is inspired by sporty Monsters from the past. The styling is enhanced by the gold front Ohlins forks and the gold aluminium rims.

Other changes include the embroidered 30-year logo on the seat of the limited-run model and a bespoke animation for the 4.3-inch TFT display. Finally to ensure that owners know just how special the Ducati Monster 30° Anniversario is, the limited-run bike sports a plate etched with the production number (x of 500) that is fixed on the top yoke.
