The revamped Bajaj Pulsar NS series launched a couple of months ago has now received a new colour scheme. The NS200 and the NS160 have been updated with a new Pewter Grey dual-tone colour.

With the latest colour update, the Pulsar NS fans now get to choose from 4 different dual-tone colour options: Ebony Black, Pearl Metallic White, Cocktail Wine Red and the new Pewter Grey. The new colour reminds us of the Blue paint scheme on the NS200 offered back in the day.

Prices for both NS200 and NS160 remain unchanged with the new colour. The NS200 retails at Rs 1.49 lakh, while the NS160 costs Rs 1.37 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).

As mentioned earlier, Both NS motorcycles were given significant upgrades recently by Bajaj. The updated motorcycle sports USD forks and Dual-channel ABS as standard. We have reviewed both motorcycles on the race track and streets of Bangalore. Read the NS200 and NS160 reviews here.

Both the NS200 and NS160 have undergone another change with the introduction of lighter alloy wheels taken from the Pulsar 250s. This modification has resulted in a slight reduction in weight for the NS200, now weighing 158kg instead of the previous 159.5kg. On the other hand, while the NS160 also features lighter wheels, it has compensated for the weight reduction by incorporating fatter tires, causing its weight to increase by approximately 1kg to 152kg.

Finally, both NS series Pulsars also sport new Grimeca brakes borrowed from the flagship N250 and 250F. The new brakes measure 300mm at the front and a 230mm unit at the rear.

Other mechanical and powertrain bits remain the same on the NS160 and the NS200. The NS160 is powered by an oil-cooled 160.3cc single-cylinder engine producing 17bhp and 14.6Nm paired to a 5-peed gearbox. While the NS200 is powered by a liquid-cooled 199.5cc mill producing 24.13bhp and 18.74Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Design-wise both street-naked motorcycle remains the same. The NS160 has now gotten closer to the NS200 with a revised taillamp design. The updated motorcycles follow a decade-old design and yet continue to turn heads.

The instrument console design remains unchanged. However, it now features a new readout for distance to empty as well as a gear position indicator. The backlit for the instrument console is different for both motorcycles too.

Both the NS models face tough competition in their own segment. However, the competition for the NS160 is about to get a lot tougher as Hero MotorCorp is all set to launch the updated Xtreme 160R with few upgrades including a USD fork.

Thoughts About The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 & NS160 New Colour Option

Upon the launch of the updated NS200 and NS160, enthusiasts expressed their desire for a wider range of colour options for these naked motorcycles. It appears that Bajaj has taken note of their fans' wishes and responded by introducing a new colour variant that enhances the sporty aesthetics of the bike.
