Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Ather Energy has introduced a 100 per cent on-road financing option. The company expects this new financing option to further drive up its sales in the Indian electric scooter market.

To facilitate 100 per cent on-road financing, Ather Energy has tied up with financial institutions such as IDFC First Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance Ltd, Axis Bank, Hero FinCorp, and Cholamandalam Finance.

Commenting on the initiative, Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer of Ather Energy, said, "Ather continues to be a frontrunner in making EVs more affordable to enthusiasts with the introduction of up to 100% funding and extended tenure options, thus further driving EV adoption in the country."

According to Ather Energy, the company has witnessed a significant jump in customers opting for finance options. The company also takes pride in introducing the 60-month loan product in the electric two-wheeler segment.

Thanks to the longer loan terms, the EV maker has been able to bring down EMI as low as Rs 2,999 for its electric scooters. As a result, Ather has made its products more accessible to a wider range of customers in the Indian two-wheeler market.

Speaking about accessibility, Ather Energy recently announced the prices for the Ather 450S electric scooter. The new entry-level model is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) and the company has already commenced the pre-bookings.

To achieve such aggressive pricing, Ather has made some changes to the model. Out of these changes, the most visible one is the use of a much simpler segmented LCD display. As such, the model will miss out on features such as touch interface, navigation and more.

Apart from that, Ather has also equipped the 450S with a smaller 3kWh battery pack. Thanks to this smaller battery pack, the claimed range is down to just 115 kilometres. That being said, the company claims a top speed of 90km/h for the model.

Thoughts About Ather's 100 Per Cent On-Road Funding

With the introduction of 100 per cent on-road funding, Ather is expecting to further boost its sales figures by making its products more accessible to a wider range of customers in the Indian two-wheeler market.
