2023 Range Rover Velar Facelift Launched At Rs 93 Lakh

British carmaker Land Rover has launched the facelifted Range Rover Velar luxury SUV in India. The facelifted Range Rover Velar is priced at Rs 93 lakh (ex-showroom) for both petrol and diesel versions.

The 2023 Range Rover Velar is priced at Rs 3.59 lakh (ex-showroom) more than the outgoing version of the luxury SUV. The new 2023 Velar is offered in the Dynamic HSE trim level.

The Velar is offered with 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. Both the petrol and diesel versions of the 2023 Range Rover come paired with 8-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes.

The petrol version of the Velar which bears the P250 name produces 246.6bhp at 5,500rpm and 365Nm of peak torque between 1,300rpm and 4,500rpm. The Range Rover Velar P250 sprints from 01-00km/h in 7.5 seconds and has a top speed of 217km/h.

The diesel variant dubbed 'D200' is aided by a 48V mild hybrid system. The diesel produces 201bhp at 3,750rpm and 430Nm of peak torque between 1,750rpm and 2,500rpm. The diesel Velar sprints from 0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds and continues to accelerate till it tops out at 210km/h.

The 2023 Range Rover Velar features an air suspension setup. This allows the Range Rover Velar to lower and raise the ride height by 40mm allowing for easier entry and exit. The Velar can wade through water up to 580mm deep.

The facelifted 2023 Range Rover Velar features new Pixel LED headlights which sport a revised DRL signature. The taillights along with the bumpers have been reprofiled as well.

Inside, the changes are more visible. The previous dual-screen setup has been replaced by an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment touchscreen which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and also controls the HVAC setup.

Also seen is a new closed stowage area that houses the wireless phone charger. The rotary gear selector dial has been replaced with a more conventional gear selector unit.

Thoughts About The Facelifted 2023 Range Rover Velar

The facelifted 2023 Range Rover Velar gets a few upgrades including a brand new 11.4-inch infotainment screen along with a few design updates. This should hopefully make it a viable option compared to rivals like the Porsche Macan and Jaguar F-Pace, both of which are less expensive compared to the new Land Rover luxury SUV.
