Powertrain

As mentioned, the 2023 Kia Seltos facelift is offered with three engines and five transmission options - A naturally-aspirated petrol engine, a turbocharged petrol engine, a turbocharged diesel engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed iMT unit, a CVT unit, a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The base continues to be the 1.5-litre, naturally-spirated, petrol engine with 113bhp and 144Nm of peak torque. This engine can be specified with either a 6-speed iMT gearbox or a CVT unit.

For the diesel powertrain, the 1.5-litre, turbocharged, diesel engine continues to make its presence felt in the facelifted model as well. This powertrain produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque, and can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic unit.

Finally, the newly introduced 1.5-litre, turbocharged, petrol engine puts out 158bhp and 253Nm of peak torque. This powertrain can be offered with either a 6-speed iMT unit or a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Features

Since its launch in India, the Kia Seltos is known for its feature-loaded interior and the facelifted model is no different as it comes with an even longer list of features than the model it replaced.

Some of the noticeable features in the facelifted Seltos SUV include twin 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment and instrumentation, a large 8-inch heads-up display, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and more.

Safety Features

One of the biggest talking points about the new Kia Seltos is that the updated SUV now features Level-2 ADAS tech. This technology includes active safety features such as adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and more.

In addition to this, the facelifted model also comes with other safety tech such as 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, TC, vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-hold assist, hill descent control, ISOFIX anchoring points, 360-degree surround-view camera, parking sensors, and more.
