Bajaj Auto recently launched the updated 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 motorcycle in India, and here's a quick comparison of the newly launched motorcycle with the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

Design: Thanks to the latest update, the new 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 motorcycle now comes equipped with USD forks at the front and this gives the motorcycle a very muscular appeal. Furthermore, the sporty underbelly exhaust and perimeter frame makes the model look sophisticated.

However, it is worth mentioning that no changes have been made to the bodywork of the model which was first introduced back in 2012. As a result, the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is most likely to miss the second glance.

On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V looks a bit more fresh thanks to its updated LED headlights, LED DRLs, sharp-looking body graphics, petal disc brakes and refreshing colour options.

Features & Convenience: Despite being an older motorcycle, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has this category licked with features such as Bluetooth connectivity. Turn-by-Turn navigation, low fuel warning and assist, lean angle mode, crash alert, Call/SMS alert, gear indicator, race telemetry and much more.

In addition to that, the TVS Apache RTR 20 04V also comes with features such as LED headlamps, digital instrument console, dual-channel ABS with RLP control, Slipper Clutch, 270mm petal disc brake at the front, 240mm petal disc brake at the rear, TVS Smart XConnect and many more.

Thanks to the update, the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 comes better equipped with features such as more advanced USD forks, dual-channel ABS with a larger 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear.

Though the instrument cluster has been updated on the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 with features such as DTE (Distance To Empty), Gear Position Indicator, and Real-time Fuel Efficiency, it is nothing compared to the information provided by the fully digital instrument cluster on the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

Powertrain: The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 continues to be the most powerful bike in this comparison with 24 bhp of power and 18.5 Nm of torque from its 199.5cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine. However, it is the heavier of the two at 158kg but sports a very touring-friendly 6-speed gearbox setup.

On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V produces just 20 bhp and 17.4 Nm of torque from its 198cc 4-valve oil-cooled engine, but it weighs just 152kg and comes with a city-friendly 5-speed gearbox.

Price: Pricing plays a crucial role in the buying decision of many people, irrespective of the product. At Rs 1.40 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V comes with a lower entry price. However, the version with dual-channel ABS costs Rs 1.45 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

On the other hand, the newly launched 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is also priced very similarly at Rs 1.47 Lakh (ex-showroom, India), and this variant includes the USD forks, and dual-channel ABS.

Thoughts About The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 & TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

While the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V offers more features and goodies, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 counters it with a more powerful drivetrain and better hardware. Thankfully, both manufacturers aimed for goals.

With a more powerful engine and a 6-speed gearbox, the Bajaj Pulsar can really stretch its legs on long-distance rides, whereas the feature-loaded TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is better suited for day-to-day life in the city.
