Despite Hyundai Venue being one of the most feature-packed SUVs currently available in the Indian market and the second best selling Hyundai SUV in India, the model has been selling in India without an update for quite some time, and this has affected the sales performance by a small margin.
As a result, Hyundai has decided to finally update the Hyundai Venue SUV and the South Korean automaker has already opened the bookings for the updated SUV. This will help Hyundai improve sales and further improve its market share in the Indian automobile market.
Recently, Hyundai also revealed the exterior images of the updated iteration of the Hyundai Venue SUV in India. Though the automaker is yet to fully reveal the interior images, an image of the interior of the upcoming Hyundai Venue has surfaced online.
This leaked image of the interior of the upcoming Hyundai Venue seems to have been taken from a dealership yard. This means that Hyundai has already commenced the production of the updated Hyundai Venue SUV, and started shipping the model to dealerships across the country ahead of the launch.
As expected of any facelifted model, the upcoming facelifted version of the Hyundai Venue will feature extensive changes on both inside and outside.
On the inside, the upcoming facelifted version of the Hyundai Venue SUV features an all-new dashboard with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. Looking at other details, the updated SUV is also likely to receive a fully digital instrument cluster.
In terms of features, the updated Hyundai Venue is expected to come with features such as connected car tech, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Alexa, Google Assistant, rear AC vents, ambient lighting, auto climate control, wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, and much more.
The updated Hyundai Venue is also expected to feature a minimum of 6 airbags and other safety features such as ABS, EBS, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera system and much more.
As per the official images, the upcoming facelifted version of the Hyundai Venue SUV features an all-new front grille, a revised front bumper, and a pair of new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. All these changes add a lot more presence to the Hyundai's sub-4m SUV.
Other changes on the upcoming facelifted version of the Hyundai Venue SUV include a set of new alloy wheels, slightly different and more prominent-looking roof rails, a new rear bumper, and a set of new two-piece tail lamps with a full-width light bar.
Despite these many changes on the exterior and interior, we expect the engine lineup to be very similar to the outgoing model. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 81.86bhp of peak power and 116Nm of peak torque, whereas the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 118.35bhp of peak power and 175Nm of peak torque.
On the other hand, the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine produces 98.63bhp of peak power and 245Nm of peak torque. Apart from that, gearbox options are likely to be the same as well.
At present, the Hyundai Venue range starts from Rs 7.11 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and goes all the way up to Rs 11.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India). We expect a marginal increase in pricing for the upcoming facelifted version of the Hyundai Venue SUV.
